DIY Earring Holder

I made this little earring holder for my baby girl (who will be here in 9 weeks)!

What you will need:
-wooden picture frame
-acrylic paint
-less that sq foot of tulle
-two similar tones 1" ribbon
-one six inch piece of white translucent ribbon
-3 or more fake pearls

1. Prep your wooden frame to be painted. If it has glass in the middle, be sure to remove and discard it.

2. Paint your frame and allow it to dry. I did three coats of white.

3. Using two tones of ribbon, wrap ribbon around the frame. Put one color on two sides that meet at a corner. (You can kinda tell in this picture).

4. Hot glue some tulle inside the frame where the glass goes. Your earrings will hang from the tulle. Be sure there is no slack or else the earrings will sag and it will look kinda sloppy. The tulle works perfect as an earring holder for babies since they just wear teeny tiny studs ;)

5. Add some ribbon flower embellishments with your ribbon and pearls.

Now you have a cute earring holder for your baby!

  8. Oh, this is so cute! I love the little flower, too! The idea of using tulle is genius - I've seen a lot of earring holders that use mesh, but it's hard to keep in place and get it smooth. It seems like fabric would be a lot easier, plus you can just glue it in place.
