Baby Food Jars to Spice Containers

I made spice jars from baby food containers before (see my tutorial). They were a gift for my dad, but this time I'm getting my own spice cupboard organized!
Here is my new set!

For the lids, I spray painted them black and then mod podged a piece of scrapbook paper to the lid.

I did some glass etching with my silhouette of the spice names. They turned out a little smaller than I would have liked, but its all good.

  3. They're so cute! I use baby food jars as spice containers, but I left the caps as-is and labeled with masking tape... not nearly as stylish!

  5. This is an awesome project. Sometimes baby food jar crafts look baby food jar-ish. The black lid and etching changes it completely. Thanks for the great tutorial, too.

I'm visiting (and following) from Home is Where My Story Begins.

I hope your day is full of joy.

  6. I used baby food jars for spices a few years back and found that the lids were EXTREMLY hard to get off them at times and at other times EXTREMLY hard to screw the lids back on straight.

    Very cute Idea though.
