All things considered, it did turn out how I had envisioned it which is a good thing.
I got my inspiration from....
It's a wall sticker from some etsy store that I can't find anymore!
I started by sketching the image on the wall with a pencil.
And it took about three coats of paint...
I love this!! I looks so great too! Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteLovely, that's the project I have in my head for more than a month now. I've already got my inspiration pictures printed and can't wait to start. It's so great to see, someone has done it, and done successfully. What paint did you use? I'm thinking regular artist's acrylics would work.
ReplyDeleteNicholette,
ReplyDeleteTHis is so fabulous! Seriously think I might give this a try!!
looks great!
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice! You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, it's GORGEOUS!! So, so pretty, Nicholette!
ReplyDeleteI actually used just the indoor house paint. Acrylic isn't washable, so if you wipe down your walls then it'll smear :( ...at least I'm pretty sure.
ReplyDeleteLove it! I did something similar but used water based oil paint so that it only needed one coat.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!! I love it! I don't think I could trust myself with such a large scale piece. You pulled it off perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful! Looks like vinyl! It is perfect!
ReplyDeleteWell I think that it looks just absolutely perfect!!! I wish I had the guts to do that in my bedroom. We just painted it an awesome beachy blue and I would be in SO much trouble if I messed it up.
ReplyDeleteGREAT job!!!

It sounds like it was A LOT of work, but it totally paid off! It looks awesome! And I'm sure a vinyl sticker that size would've cost an arm and a leg! I love it!
