3 Year Birthday: Firetruck Party!

I have to say first and foremost. I found an awesome blog with printables for my son's firetruck themed party! This made my life SO much easier. :)  How To Nest For Less has the files all ready to be edited. And if you don't want to personalize them, you don't have to! I edited mine in PicMonkey and I think they turned out pretty nice.  :)

Fire Extinguishers
We needed these for an outside party in mid-Summer!

Firefighter Food
(White cake and devils food cake with peppermint frosting).

Party Favors

There wasn't much as far as decor due to the wind which I was slightly bummed about. We just couldn't keep the dang streamers up!

Here is an example of one of the printables that I edited. Very easy to do.

We had the party in a park near our house so that we could have some room to play with water balloons and squirt guns! These guys had a blast!

Saturday Spotlight #96

Yay! The weekend! Welcome to Saturday Spotlight!

This week I shared my Paper Family Tree!

Highlights from last week's link up:

Braided T-Shirt Rug by Small Things With Love

iPhone Wallet by The Gilded Hare. These things are legit!

Now, back to this week's link up party...

RULES:

1) First, create a blog entry about something you made yourself. Post our Saturday Spotlight button under your post or somewhere on your blog so that others can find all of your awesome links at Saturday Spotlight. Our linky party button is on the right side of our blog. Just copy the html code to the bottom of your blog post. If you would like to keep it somewhere else on your blog where others can see it, that's also ok.
2) Next, add your blog post name down below and then add the link of the blog entry about your project (not your homepage) . To get your link, click on the title of your blog post that you would like to enter and then copy the address that appears in the address bar up top, and paste it down below. It should look about like this: http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/2009/07/your_project.html.

Paper Family Tree

I didn't come up with this idea. Actually, one of my friends made something similar to this at one of those JoAnne classes. I altered the idea a little bit to my taste.

I added the "Sperry" sign. I thought it looked a little plain without it. Everything was cut out using my Silhouette. On the last couple layers of leaves I added Glue Dots to give the leaves more depth. The names are actually just hand written with a Sharpie Pen, that way I can add more kids names easily.
