Baby Barefoot Sandals

I found these crochet barefoot sandals on Pinterest and I simply could not resist. I LITERALLY, dropped everything, and began crocheting...

I like to dress my lil girl up, and these were the perfect accessory for her to wear around and still be comfy!

It was probably the easiest crochet project I have ever done. I've made my little Lily crochet sandals before, but since these don't even have soles, they were way faster.

Felt Quiet Book

I decided to get a head start making a quiet book for my baby girl since she's already starting to get wiggly at church. This book is made all from felt, and the binding that I used makes it possible to add more pages simply by opening the book rings. I didn't feel like I went all out whatsoever as far as details go, and it still ended up taking about 20 hours. Phew. Glad to be done!

Learning to count with beads and the corresponding number.

To learn to snap there is a coat that snaps shut.

To learn to button and match colors, there are matching flowers with buttons.

Dress the doll with felt clothes.

The baggie has a velcro and a zipper to keep it shut and to teach zipping.

Match the shapes with the sewn on outline.

Tie a shoe lace.

Birdies and Bows: A Baby Shower

I threw a baby shower for my friend Jessica this past weekend. We did kind of a birdie theme (which her mom did with the decor), and for the activity we made hair bows!

Simple Beaded Binky Clip: Tutorial

Here is a simple way to create your own pacifier/binky clips with small beads.

The great thing about this binky clip is that it can be used with any brand of pacifier.

What You Will Need:

-stretchy jewelery making cord (very thin, I don't know what the size is)

-whole bunch of teeny tiny beads

-ID badge clip (Walmart or office supply store)

-super glue

I didn't take pictures along the way, but the finished product pictures can serve as a good guide.

1. Using about 14 inches of cord, start from one end and make a small loop about 1/2" wide. This is where the ID clip will snap through. Tie a square knot and apply a dab of super glue to reinforce.

2. String your beads on filling up about 8" of the cord.

3. Make another loop using about 4 inches of the cord and tie a knot adding a dab of super glue.

4. Slip the loop through the binky hole and pull the whole binky clip through the loop too.

Tux and Tie Freezer Paper Onesies

These are just a few "dress up" onesies I made for a friend's baby. I have always had the hardest time finding church clothes for baby boys so I love this simple idea of stenciling a simple bow tie or tie onto a onesie!

Binky Clip Tutorial

Yay! Another baby boy craft!

I went to a shower a few weeks ago and I through these in with the gift to add a nice personal touch:)

What You Will Need:

-Ribbon

-Suspender clip

-skinny-ish elastic

-sew on velcro

-needle and thread

-fabric glue (optional)

1. Cut your ribbons about 9 inches in length.

2. Fold over one side and glue with new sew fabric glue (just to hold it in place while you sew.

3. Sew on the elastic with coordinating thread.

4. Fold over other side of ribbon.

5. Sew in a 4 inch piece of elastic between the ribbon layers.

6. Interchange your binky ribbons with the clip for a variety!

BFF Baby Onesies

My friend and I thought this would just make a hilarious picture, and be something cute for our girls to have when they grow up. We really do hope they become best friends (yes, I'm one of those "matchmaker" parents).

We just cut stencils from freezer paper using the silhouette machine, then we painted the onesies with fabric paint. (Remember to wash your onesies before you do the stenciling!)

Silhouette Rhinestone Onesie!

I recently acquired the Silhouette Rhinestone Starter kit which I absolutely LOVE!

I know my baby girl loves hers...see, I caught her sunbathing in it!

Book of Faces

I have been wanting to make this little book of faces since my little Jack was like a newborn...
Turns out I didn't get to it until I had a second newborn!

The point of this book is to A) teach my toddler the names of our family and friends, and B) to get my baby familiar with faces.
