And the Super Amazing Giveaway is....

So here is the moment you've all been waiting for.... The most AMAZING GIVEAWAY EVER IS... The Silhouette SD!!!  Our friends will be having the giveaway next Monday, October 11th, so make sure to put it on your calendars and go visit Mom It Forward!  I'll be posting there that day, with a fun project for fall using... you guessed it, the Silhouette SD.  If you're not familiar with what this machine can do, you need to go to their website right now and check it out.  It's amazing!

Check out this awesome project Nicholette made using her Silhouette SD!

What you will need:
-Black 8x10 frame
-12 inches of ribbon
-hot glue gun
-Silhouette machine

1. Using your silhouette machine, cut out the words "happy haunting" and a corresponding picture. (Pumpkins on the fence can be found at the silhouette online store).
**If you want to put the vinyl behind the glass (that's what I did) you will need to flip your image horizontally.

2. Take the glass out of your frame and discard the backing to the frame.

3. Peel out your vinyl cut-outs and stick them to the glass of the picture frame.

4. Smooth out all of the air bubbles.

5. With your hot glue gun, put a dab of glue in each inside corner of the frame. Set your glass neatly inside.

6. Hot glue or staple one or more ribbons to hang your picture.

So remember, October 11th, head on over to Mom It Forward and sign up for this amazing giveaway.  Make sure you are a Craft Envy follower!  Good luck to everyone, you know you want this!!!

Disclosure: Silhouette provided me with the SD machine for my review and use in writing this post.

Saturday Spotlight #23 Linky Party!

Welcome, welcome! It's another Saturday Spotlight!

1) First, create a blog entry about something you made yourself. Post our Saturday Spotlight button under your post or somewhere on your blog so that others can find all of your awesome links at Saturday Spotlight. Our linky party button is on the right side of our blog. Just copy the html code to the bottom of your blog post. If you would like to keep it somewhere else on your blog where others can see it, that's also ok.
2) Next, add your blog post name down below and then add the link of the blog entry about your project (not your homepage) . To get your link, click on the title of your blog post that you would like to enter and then copy the address that appears in the address bar up top, and paste it down below. It should look about like this: http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/2009/07/your_project.html.

3) Have fun checking out all the awesome projects!

Curvy Handmade Giftbox

Instead of buying one, make your own super easy, unique gift box!

 What you will need:
-2 peices of 12x12 cardstock, (size depends on how large you want your box)
-glue
-scissors
Here is a template that I created:
 1. Print out the template and scale it to the size of paper you would like to use.
2. Do not cut corner squares completely off, you will just cut one side. They will be used as tabs to glue to the rest of the box.
3. Create two sides with this template, one for the top and one for the bottom of your gift box.
