Felt Quiet Book

Since I had so much felt left over from making Jack's felt car booties, I decided to make him a little felt quiet book! You can pretty much adapt this idea with whatever things you have around your house.

Felt .29 per sheet
applique glue $3
Some things to embellish/add texture...
-buttons, shoe laces, sparkly glue, silk tie.

So here's what I did...
After sewing all the pages of felt together (I used 4 sheets- about 10"x5") I cut out some fun shapes from the felt and did an applique of each of them.

Felt shoe with a shoelace that can be untied.

My boy LOVES buttons so I had to add this page!

Felt airplane with glue sparkles for a night-time sky.

Bad picture...but this is a tie that can be lifted up. Made from material from a silk tie.

Felt truck with a lady bug button.

Felt guitar with red sparkle glue!
Then I left the back of the book, which is red, blank.

  4. seeing your quiet book gives me confidence that I need to make one as well for my son... every one that I have seen so far looks like they bought it at a book store but yours looks great and more of a personal feel to it
