-1 piece of dark green, 1 piece of light green felt

- plant pots, or other container to decorate (mine were 3 for $1.00 at the Dollar Tree)
- 1 block of styrofoam ($3.29 at Michael's)
-Black acrylic paint
-Jute for embellishing

1. Paint your little pots and let them dry while you're working on your flowers
2. Cut each of your felt pieces into fours, and draw a spiral with a permanent marker just like that.
4. Follow along the outline of the spiral and cut it out.
5. (My camera does not do close ups, sorry) Take the very beginning part of your spiral and start rolling it, making sure the bottom is always leveled. Your rose will start to take shape.
6. When you roll your rose, put some glue at the base of it and use that center little piece in the middle of your spiral to glue it all together, like a lid. Now your flower is really stable and won't come undone.
7. Take a skewer and gently twist it through your flower until it punctures through the felt
8. More hot glue at the base of your flower and a little scrap of green felt to give it a cute leaf. Break off your skewer to the size you want.
9. After my pots were dry I measured some Styrofoam to fit inside my pot and cut it to shape. Now we are ready to stick our flowers in. Always start with one flower in the middle, it tends to make your arrangement look nicer, I learned.
10. I forgot to take a picture of the next step, but I just wrapped some jute around the pots to give it some embellishment, I really like how these look, and I didn't pay $10 each for them! Score!
I hope you have fun with these easy, really cute felt roses!
